Deseret News brings us a story of a woman dying after veering her car into a pole. Sunday night, in Ogden Utah, a 41-year-old woman crashed her car. She was driving southbound on Harrison Boulevard in a 2007 Saturn at about 6:20 am. Her car swerved, jumped over the curb, hit a pole then crashed into a Cadillac Escalade that was parked in a driveway nearby. The escalade was then thrown into a Ford Ranger right in front of it.
Investigators are still determining how fast she was driving, but Ogden Police Lt. Troy Burnett estimated her travel speed at least the speed limit which was 40 mph. Her car crashed at 2050 S. Harrison Blvd, with significant impact. She was quickly transported to the local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Her name has not yet been released to the press.
Our condolences go out to this woman’s family and friends. Regardless of the circumstances, losing a loved one is always painful and difficult. We do not know the reason for the accident, but we hope she finds some sort of justice.
