A 64-year-old woman identified as Linda Olson was struck by a utility truck in Millcreek. According to the report, the woman was crossing 3300 South near 3000 East with another woman shortly after 6 p.m. when she was hit in the crosswalk by an eastbound Comcast utility truck.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal disclosed that the woman was taken by ambulance to University Hospital but died of her injuries before she reached the hospital.
The report also stated that officers had to shut down the eastbound lane to document and clean up the scene. According to Hoyal, the accident remained under investigation Monday night.
