Not often do we hear stories of cars crashing into houses but one should expect the unexpected. A couple got the surprise of their lives Saturday night when they discovered a car in their living room. According to the report, the couple who are residents of West Valley City were preparing for bed that night when they heard a crash downstairs.

The couple identified by the report as Brandon Kelsey and Ashley Weekes found a car in their living room that created a mess.

The couple said that they were lucky the crash did not happen five minutes earlier. They might be hurt badly if that was the case since they were sitting on the couch prior to going upstairs.

According to the report, one of the men in the car fled the scene of the accident. The homeowners have reasons to believe that the men were drinking prior to the accident. They saw beer cans all over the scene.

This article is another good illustration that driving and drinking is not a good combination. Often drunk driving results to consequences that may not only involve damage property, but could also claim innocent lives.

Christensen & Hymas is glad that the couple did not suffer physically from this reckless behavior. You can imagine the speed at which this car was traveling that it ended up in the living room of the house and the lack of control of the driver. We are thankful that it was only property damage and no one in the house was hurt.

The pain and suffering aside from the injuries sustained from an accident caused by a person’s willful negligence and reckless behavior should be compensated. Call Christensen & Hymas at (801)-506-0800 for a free initial consultation. Let Christensen & Hymas get the compensation that you deserve.
