A man identified as Scott Moxon was reported to be seriously hurt when his motorcycle collided with a car at an intersection near the Southern Utah University campus.
Moxon is a freshman from Provo who is attending Southern Utah University. He was flown to a hospital in Las Vegas in critical condition according to the news report.
A witness to the accident identified as Megan Maloney, who was interviewed by media, disclosed that a male on a motorcycle was traveling west on 200 South when a female driving a blue Sedan traveling east on the same street attempted to make a left turn onto 800 West. According to Maloney, the driver of the sedan may not have seen the motorcycle when she made the turn. Maloney also believes that the turn was made early causing the motorcycle to collide with the front of the vehicle.
Maloney disclosed that the driver of the motorcycle seemed extremely disoriented after the crash and acted as if he had no idea where he was and what had happened. Maloney made the call to the police by using Onstar in her car.
The report stated that the road was temporary closed from 200 South to 900 West by authorities in order for emergency crews to assist the victim of the motorcycle crash and clean up the accident site.
Christensen & Hymas wishes Scott Moxon full recovery from his injuries. We encourage everyone to drive safely. We also urge motorists to be on the lookout for motorcyclists. Be extra careful when in intersections because intersections are common accident sites.
