An accident occurred Monday at 9 AM at the intersection of Juniper Crest Road and Rosecrest Road in Herriman. A 66-year-old woman was walking in a crosswalk when she was hit by a 33-year-old female driver, who apparently did not see the victim. She was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition but was later upgraded to critical condition. There have been no citations issued up to this point, and no alcohol or drugs appear to have been a factor, neither speed.
This is a truly unfortunate accident, and we hope for a full recovery for the injured individual as quickly as possible.
In accidents such as these, where non-intentional actions lead to physical harm, many may not want to pursue legal action, even if left to pay medical bills for injuries they did not cause. While such actions, if indeed proved to be non-intentional, are certainly not criminal, fault may still be recognized and thus compensation received. The words ‘law suit’ and ‘sue’ need never enter the picture; a pedestrian accident lawyer will negotiate with the insurance companies on your behalf, and you will receive the means necessary to cover your medical care, any lost wages, and resulting pain and suffering. At Christensen & Hymas, 85% of our claims never become ‘law suits’ and no one is ever ‘sued’. If you are in need of such service, call us today at (801) 506-0800.
