A fatal accident took place last Wednesday at around 7 a.m. at 3600 South and 1200 West between Hyrum and Nibley that resulted to the death of one person and injuries to two others.
Police authorities said two vehicles were traveling northbound on 1200 West, and another vehicle was has heading southbound, when allegedly one of the northbound vehicles attempted to pass the other and ended up clipping it, and then hitting the southbound vehicle head-on.
The report added that man who was driving the southbound vehicle was later pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released.
Police said the two other people involved in the crash were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The report also added that officers are still investigating the three-vehicle incident.
