2 boys were injured Sunday afternoon after they fell out of the SUV in which they were traveling on Mirror Lake Highway. Aged 3 and 5, the boys were trying to prevent items from falling out of their Acura SUV after the tailgate opened and things began to roll out of the vehicle. The boys got out of their seatbelts to go after the goods and fell out of the car at that time. They both received minor injuries. The 5-year-old was in a booster chair, while the 3-year-old was not. The driver was cited for failing to properly restrain the 3-year-old.
We wish both boys a swift recovery.
