Two men were seriously injured in an automobile accident on Sunday according to KSL. The accident happened in West Valley City near 4000 West and 2100 South around 7:30 pm.
The driver of a pickup truck was going through an intersection when a man driving a minivan ran a red light, striking the side of the truck. The truck rolled and both drivers were taken to a hospital in serious condition. The two men were the only passengers of their vehicles.
Sgt. Trudy Cropper mentioned that drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this accident. At this time, details of why the man ran the red light are not available. Often speed and distracted driving are factors in these types of crashes, and the consequences of such driving can be deadly.
