TraxA collision between a TRAX train and a pickup truck resulted to the serious injuries of a teenage boy and a woman. According to the report, the teenage boy was driving the pickup truck which was headed north on 2700 West and attempted to make a U-turn at 3360 South when the accident happened.

Cropper disclosed that although the traffic signal was green at the intersection for thru-traffic, the turn-light was red. The driver of the pickup allegedly failed to notice the incoming train when he made the turn.

The report added that the passengers of the train sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The accident interrupted TRAX service on the northbound route, but was expected to be restored later Saturday evening. The accident is still being investigated as disclosed by Cropper.
